About these lesson plans
These 65 Form Two Chemistry lesson plans follow the competence-based format used with the new TIE curriculum. The first 55 cover atomic structure, electronic arrangements, formulae and nomenclature, bonding, chemical reactions, acids, bases and salts, and trends in the periodic table. The last 10 are practicals on preparing acid-base indicators from local materials and using them to test substances. Every plan is written for an 80-minute double period.
What every lesson plan contains
Each plan uses the same seven-part header and a four-stage teaching structure:
- Header sections: class information (registered and present learners by gender), main competence, specific competence, main activity, specific activity, teaching and learning resources, and references.
- Teaching structure: Introduction, Competence Development, Design and Realisation, each with timing, teacher activities, learning activities and assessment criteria.
- Remarks: space for your reflection after the lesson.
- School details: a blank field for your school name, ready to complete.

Frequently asked questions
How many Chemistry lesson plans are included for Form Two?
The full set has 65 lesson plans. Each is written for an 80-minute double period.
Are these Chemistry lesson plans aligned to the TIE curriculum?
Yes. They use the competence-based format with main and specific competences, TIE (2024) references, a four-stage teaching structure and assessment criteria for each stage.
Do the plans include practical work?
Yes. Plans 56–65 are practicals: preparing indicators from red cabbage, beetroot and turmeric, testing them, and using them to test the acidity and alkalinity of local substances. Several earlier plans also use demonstrations and simulations.
Can I preview a lesson plan before paying?
Yes. The sample lesson plan on this page shows the exact layout used in the full set. After payment you receive all lesson plans as a clean PDF.
Do I need to edit the lesson plans before using them?
Yes. Add your school name and class numbers, check the resources against what your school holds, and adjust the timings to your timetable.
How do I pay for the full Chemistry lesson plans?
The price is TZS 4,000. Pay via M-Pesa (+255 754 805 256, Stephen Amuti), Mixx by Yas (0652 962 570) or Airtel Money (0692 611 530), then send the confirmation on WhatsApp to receive your download link.
