About Form Six Schemes of Work

A scheme of work is the teacher’s plan of what will be taught across the Form Six (Kidato cha Sita) year, mapping main and specific competences, monthly and weekly pacing, teaching methods, resources and assessment tools for every topic in the subject syllabus. It is followed by a lesson plan for each lesson and a log book that records what was actually covered.

Form Six is the final year of Advanced Level, where students complete their subject combination and sit the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE). All Form Six schemes of work on this page follow the competence-based column format issued by the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) for the 2027 academic year. Periods per week vary by subject.

  • Learning Activities
  • Month, Week and Periods
  • Reference
  • Teaching and Learning Methods and Resources
  • Assessment Tools and Remarks
Important: Personalise each scheme with your school name and actual term dates before submitting to your academic office.
